Hi, I’m Cory.
I’ve been working in technology since the late 1980s and leading technology teams for over 20 years. Throughout my career, I’ve noticed a common thread in the tech space: a serious lack of great leadership.Â
The reality is that most leaders in technology—myself included at one point—are thrust into leadership roles with ZERO formal training, mentorship, or support. We’re expected to figure it all out as we go. It’s no surprise that so many leaders feel unsure of how to truly lead their teams.
I know this pain firsthand. I've been on the receiving end of awful leadership, and I know how frustrating and demoralizing it feels. When I became a leader myself, I realized I wasn’t immune—I struggled too. I had no idea how to inspire others, communicate effectively, or handle conflict.
But I wasn’t willing to settle for "good enough."
To become the leader I aspired to be, I had to face my own demons... to confront limiting beliefs... embrace vulnerability.... unlearn habits that weren’t serving me—or my teams. It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary.
